Microaggressions

Microaggressions have been defined as brief and common daily verbal, behavioral, and environmental communications, whether intentional or unintentional, that transmit hostile, derogatory, or negative messages to a target person because they belong to a stigmatized group. As a result of private school education and occupying predominantly white spaces (Elijah Anderson, The White Space, January 2015) for most of life, I speak in a vernacular that is often perceived as the way a “white person” speaks… So this is where I am starting with my first Podcast, “Unpacking.” This will happen July 18, 2020.
